Our roots at Gear Technology go back to the early 1960’s when James Marino was running Sawyer Industries, a prominent Southern California motor and gear manufacturer. At the same time, another company, Kosmo Gear, was producing high-performance gears for the burgeoning aerospace industry. These two industry leaders combined forces in 1986 to form Gear Technology, and a gear manufacturing powerhouse was born. Our founding policy of uncompromising quality and extraordinary customer service is at the foundation of our success, and in the decades that followed Gear Technology grew and prospered. Today, with 16,320 square feet of modern manufacturing space, Gear Technology is the first and only choice for many of the world’s largest aerospace, military and commercial manufacturers. Our state-of-the-art, computer-controlled equipment produces a wide variety of gears including: Spur Gears, Helical Gears, Serrations and Splines; and Bevel Gears in Hy-Poid, Curvic Couple, Straight and Spiral configurations. Our high-tech facility is compliant with the ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 Rev. B Quality Management Systems, and we are certified to fabricate gears up to AGMA class 14.
